The 37th Annual Symposium of the Arizona Hydrological Society will take place September 9-11th at High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff, Arizona. The event will feature technical sessions on water science, technology, and policy, including oral and poster presentations with accompanying abstracts.
Learn About Our Co-Chairs
Erin Young Bio
Erin Young is a hydrogeologist in Flagstaff, Arizona, specializing in water resources management. She has been working for the City of Flagstaff since 2012. Erin has been involved with AHS for about 25 years and is currently the President of the Flagstaff Chapter and on the Board of the AHS Foundation. She is the current Past President of WateReuse Arizona and serves on the WIFA Water Conservation Grant Committee. She is a registered geologist in Arizona and holds a master’s degree in Geology from Northern Arizona University and a bachelor’s degree in Geology from Arizona State University. Outside of work, she enjoys housework, cooking, vacuuming, doing dishes, folding laundry, home projects and working late. In her spare time, she loves geology and geomorphology, exploring lakes and streams, taking cross-country drives, listening to music, visiting family and friends, meeting new people, designing spaces, riding bikes, hiking, rollerblading, skiing and snowboarding, waterskiing, playing hockey, paddleboarding, and sailing with her daughter, two dogs, and cat.
Rebecca Anderson Bio
Rebecca Anderson is a hydrogeologist in Phoenix, Arizona, specializing in groundwater modeling, hydrogeologic investigations, and water resources management. Her experience includes groundwater flow and transport modeling, environmental data analysis, and technical reporting to support complex water and environmental projects. In her current role at Brown and Caldwell, she applies analytical and numerical modeling to inform groundwater and water resource management decisions. She is a registered geologist in Arizona and holds a master’s degree in Hydrology from the University of Arizona and a B.S. in Environmental Science (Water, Health, and Policy) from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband and their lively crew of cats, a dog, and chickens.
