Presenting a poster? Here’s what you need to know.

Poster design

Posters need to be no greater than 3.5 feet tall x 5 feet wide (maximum), with your name and university program or organization prominently displayed. The poster’s format should generally follow a research paper — an abstract describing the hypothesis and sections on methods and conclusions.

Student poster judging

Student posters will be judged right after lunch on Thursday, April 4. Winners will be announced at the Friday awards luncheon. Please be available in the poster room after lunch to meet with the three judges and answer any questions they may have.

Poster setup and take-down

All posters should be set up in Ballroom G on Wednesday, April 3, from 1–5 PM, and Thursday, April 4, from 7–8 AM. If you have any questions, please inquire at conference check-in. Posters will be mounted on a rigid backing that will be provided in the set-up location. AHS will also supply the push pins for you to mount your poster.

You must remove your poster between 1:30 PM and 3 PM on Friday, April 5.

If you need to make special arrangements prior to the conference, contact Chris Brooks (520-661-4403 or cbrooks@cap-az.com ). If you have questions during the conference, inquire at AHS registration desk or at check-in.
