GoldSim Workshop
DYNAMIC AND STOCHASTIC MODELING WITH GOLDSIM
Workshop Description
In the complex world of water resources management, engineers like you rely on a variety of modeling tools. While many platforms offer dynamic simulation, GoldSim provides a distinct advantage: the ability to rigorously incorporate and analyze uncertainty through integrated Monte Carlo simulation. This workshop is designed to show you how to leverage this unique capability to build more resilient and insightful water models.
Many professionals recognize the inherent uncertainties in hydrological data, future demands, operational conditions, and climate projections. However, few have the tools to directly embed this uncertainty into their models and quantify its impact on system performance. This workshop will demonstrate how GoldSim empowers you to move beyond deterministic analysis. You will learn to construct an “infrastructure of uncertainty parameters” within your models, allowing you to run simulations that explicitly account for variability and see how these uncertainties propagate and influence your system. This approach leads to more robust decision-making, better risk assessment, and designs that are prepared for a range of potential futures.

Instructor
Jason Lillywhite has been using GoldSim since 2005 on consulting projects around the world, and he has worked for GoldSim Technology Group since 2010. He has applied models for water resources decision support and risk analysis. Jason received an M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from University of Utah.
